Delivery Times
We aim to dispatch all orders as quickly as possible and are usually sent by carrier for next day delivery but should be with you within 4 days at the latest. If items are out of stock dispatch may be slightly delayed, so please allow up to 28 days. For Christmas orders we suggest you order as soon as possible to help ease the Christmas rush!

Post and Packaging
Post and packaging charges are automatically calculated, based on order weight, at the checkout. Orders are sent using a parcel service or Royal Mail First Class, dependant on weight. Please contact us for delivery costs outside the UK.

Receipt of goods
Please inspect all items immediately upon arrival. Do not accept packages that show signs of damage in transit, goods damaged in transit are subject to a claim on the carrier; please do not accept them as you will be asked to sign for them in good condition. Inform us immediately if you have refused an item and we will arrange a replacement.
We advise you that if a courier delivers a parcel to you and you do not physically check the contents for damage you should sign for the goods as unchecked. This is not an essential but it makes making a claim easier if you later find damage to your delivery as without this disclaimer you are signing for them in good condition.
Radio Controlled Models are hobby products and may require some final assembly and adjustment before use please inspect the model prior to use and report any damage or problems within 3 days of receipt.

7 Day Money Back Guarantee
All our items are sold with a 7 day money back guarantee.
Under the UK Distance Selling Regulations, you have 7 working days (after the day you receive your goods) to cancel the contract for your order with us.
This is to give you time to inspect the goods to ensure they are what you wanted and are in good order before you use them.
If you decide to cancel your order and return the item you will receive a full refund including any standard delivery charges. You will need to return the item at your cost. Upgraded services chosen by you when you placed your order e.g. Saturday delivery instead of using our standard next working day delivery, are non refundable.
Returned items for refund should be in the condition you received them i.e. complete, unused and include all the packaging. If a fault occurs after you have used the item this will be handled under the Warranty procedure. (Please see below)
If you decide to cancel your order you must let us know in writing, an e-mail will be accepted, quoting your order number, date of order and date of receipt. We will then send you the appropriate return documentation. For further details please see the Returns Policy below.

Missing/Delayed Deliveries
Courier: If you do not receive delivery by the expected delivery date please get in touch immediately so the courier can be contacted as failed deliveries have to be reported within 7 days of us sending the goods.
In the unfortunate event your goods go missing then as soon as you inform us the courier will be contacted, once the courier confirms the goods are missing and it has been reported within the correct time frame a claim will be raised and the goods will then be resent to you.
If goods are disputed as delivered, this is where the courier says they have delivered and have a signature from the addressee for receipt of them but you are stating you have not had them then the courier will not raise a claim until they are satisfied the goods have not been delivered after an investigation has been carried out. Part of this investigation is to interview the delivery driver, unfortunately in this very rare situation the goods cannot be resent until the courier raises a claim.

Royal Mail: If you do not receive delivery by the expected delivery date please get in touch immediately so the order can be. In the unfortunate event your goods go missing Royal Mail will only raise a claim after 15 working days have passed from the date of dispatch. During this period our hands are tied and we must simply wait, as "lost" packages are often redelivered or returned to sender during this time. Once this has passed then if the goods are still undelivered your order will be resent.
If goods are disputed as delivered, this is where Royal Mail say they have delivered and have a signature from the addressee for receipt of them but you are stating you have not had them then they will not raise a claim until they are satisfied the goods have not been delivered after an investigation has been carried out. Age Recommendations
Radio Controlled modelling is a great hobby that can be enjoyed by all ages however please remember that the remote controlled models we sell are hobby products not toys, many are high performance machines and we advise adult supervision for children under the age of 14 years old. It is the responsibility of the user to ensure the safety of people and property around them when using a radio controlled model and when used in a public place adult supervision should be provided. Also Nitro models require some manual dexterity and physical strength to start which some younger users may require assistance with.

Pre Testing
The Radio Controlled models we sell are hobby products, to operate them successfully the user needs to either have some experience of be prepared to familiarise themselves with the necessary background information before using them.
Many Radio Controlled models are high performance machines and require maintenance and adjustment to keep them working properly and to prevent damage to the components.
Please remember that all models should be checked by the user prior to every use ensuring that everything is tightened and adjusted as it should be and the user has done a full radio check including a range check before switching a model on or starting an engine. If the model suffers a bump you should check that nothing has been knocked out of adjustment.
If you have a problem with your radio equipment or if there is any damage to the aerials do not attempt to use the model until the problem has been resolved, please contact us for advice.
If you have no experience with the model you have purchased you will need to do some research e.g. if you have purchased a Nitro model then as well as reading all the information in the product manual (which is aimed at the hobby user) you should do some research on how to start and tune your engine and also how to check it before use.
We will offer advice and help as much as possible but are unable to accept returns for items that have been damaged by incorrect use, from customers who are unable to adjust their models or from customers who have not correctly checked their models before use.

Warranty
Your goods are covered under a 6 month warranty. This covers any manufacturing fault within this time frame which will be repaired/replaced or refunded as appropriate. When claiming under a warranty you are legally obliged to return the product or defective item to us for examination and to be returned to the manufacturer for refund.
Due to the nature of the products we sell and the environment they operated in, breakages can often occur therefore general wear and tear or any damage caused by misuse is not covered, this warranty covers you solely against manufacturing faults.
Radio Controlled models are hobby products and many are high performance machines that require maintenance and parts replacing in normal use, therefore some items are not covered by the warrantee, these include but are not limited to, crash damage however caused, component failure or premature wear due to crash damage, glow plugs, pull start mechanisms, spur gears, water damage, incorrect battery charging and discharging, normal wear and tear, use of after market upgrades unless supplied by us for that model.
If the product or parts are not covered by the warranty a quote will be supplied for repair or replacement plus the cost of returning the product or parts back to you.
All warranty claim decisions are final.

Returns Policy
If you suspect a fault with your goods you should always call us on 07748900004 or e-mail us at enquiries@rc-Hobbies.co.uk for support as many problems can be resolved this way and we are happy to help.
Returns are only accepted with appropriate Returns Documentation which can be obtained by e-mailing us at enquiries@rc-hobbies.co.uk or phoning 07748900004. The Returns Form must be completed in full and attached to the outside of your parcel. Parcels that arrive without a returns number or without a returns form on the outside of the package will be delayed and may be rejected.
If the product or parts are not covered by the warranty a quote will be supplied for repair or replacement plus the cost of returning the product or parts back to you.
Returned items must be complete and in their original undamaged retail packing. For faulty goods we will (subject to availability) replace the item and refund your return postage costs up to the cost of the original delivery charge for the goods to be delivered to you (excluding any optional supplementary delivery charges such as, but not limited to, Saturday delivery or Timed delivery), where the goods were delivered free of charge this will be a reasonable amount for the size and weight of the item up to a maximum of £10.
Before returning items please contact us to discus the problem as we may be able to offer advice that makes a return unnecessary. For returned items that are found not to be faulty. For example a motor that you were unable to start but we can, we reserve the right to charge a £15 testing fee which is payable before the item is returned and in these cases the postage costs are not refundable.
When returning goods please quote your order number. Please also put a note in with your returned item stating the problem, as it may not be obvious, and send your notification of the return via e-mail to: enquiries@rc-hobbies.co.uk
We also suggest you use registered post and insure the item, as we cannot be responsible for goods that fail to reach us. It is your duty to keep the return costs reasonable, please contact us for advice on the most suitable carrier.
If the model is eligible for refund our aim to get your money refunded back to you as quickly as possible. No compensation payment or refund will be made for, but not limited to, disappointment, time lost or repairs already completed by you or a third party.
An extended returns period may be accepted at certain times of the year (such as models purchased as Christmas presents) or in exceptional circumstances however this is at our discretion and only if pre-agreed between us in writing.
Unfortunately we cannot refund or exchange used or customer damaged items (customer's statutory rights not affected). Used is determined as being from the point fuel was put into the model for Nitro models and from the point the battery was charged for Electric models. However a full range of spares are available for all the models we sell and in most cases we can restore your damaged model to full working order by sending you replacement parts.

Lithium Polymer batteries (LiPo, Li-Poly)
Fire can be caused by: 'Overcharging' (wrong charger or charger setting, unbalanced battery load, charger fouled by poor power supply), charging a damaged cell or pack and short circuit (including crash damage).
Cells or packs can be damaged by: Over discharging (running too flat and/or too hot, discharging an unbalanced battery load), short circuit and crash damage.
Charging guidelines:
1. Always charge on a surface that can not catch fire easily, concrete, steel etc...Do not charge on carpet, paper or any other items that can catch fire easily!
2. Never over discharge your battery.  What does this mean?
It means when you notice a power drop (when using your helicopter or car), stop! Immediately!
It also means disconnect your battery from the helicopter or car, even if you switch off the model or transmitter and you leave it connected it will still discharge really slowly. Really slowly for a day is a lot!
If you over discharge and then charge again you may experience puffing. This is where the cells swell.  If this happens you can never use the battery again. If you charge a puffed battery then expect a fire!
3. Use the correct charger.
4. Do not overcharge your battery. Always set a timer and don’t leave your battery charging unattended. If you do not know the charging time of your battery give us a call or emails us before you attempt to charge.
Lipo batteries are expensive and can be dangerous so need to be treated with care, if you need any help with charging please contact us.
